James T. Mickam, PG—President
Mr. Mickam has more than 35 years of experience as a professional geologist and environmental consultant. He has managed projects for industrial, public, and private clients in 33 states, the Caribbean, South America, Europe, and Asia.
His multi-disciplinary programs have assessed the impacts and risks associated with past, present, and proposed waste management operations—notably their compliance with federal and state regulations. They have involved inorganic, organic, and radiological chemistries. He has also coordinated natural resource and potable water exploration, development, and management programs.
Mr. Mickam has experience with diverse U.S. federal laws including NEPA, RCRA, CERCLA, Clean Water Act, Safe Drinking Water Act, and Clean Air Act. He has developed strategic environmental compliance programs for Fortune 500 manufacturers and has provided expert testimony in several state and federal jurisdictions.

Responsibilities
Executive administration and technical oversight of services to the firm's largely industrial client base. Ongoing programs include:
- Monitoring of several ground water recovery and treatment systems at closed hazardous waste sites and active industrial facilities
- Preparation, implementation, and auditing of environmental compliance plans for oil and hazardous chemical storage systems
- Environmental permitting for hazardous and solid waste management systems, wastewater discharges, and air emissions
- Ground water resource management and development
- Preparation of strategic environmental management plans.
- Executive administration and technical oversight
Review of technical work products
- Standardization of data collection, reduction, and interpretation methods for group that grew to greater than 50 professionals
- Staff training, performance review, and mentoring
